"W.G. Rickel first became acclimated with glass while studying sculpture at Anderson University.  Over several post-university years working jobs in fields ranging from woodworking to metal fabrication, he landed at Flame Run glass studio and gallery in Louisville, KY- where he currently resides.  Fusing a love for science and mystery with a lust for antiquated technology, he conjures multimedia artifacts, seeming to appear from an era that never quite existed. riding the wormhole between macro and micro, his work entices viewers to consider its anthropomorphic significance regardless of its biological or industrial origins."
